An early start to Gymi preparation to identify and close gaps before the six-month course begins.

Essay course 5th grade
Building up the text types required in the Gymi exam step by step: planning, structure, vocabulary and revision, with personal feedback on every essay. Participants can then attend a follow-up course and a writing workshop.
Course period: November to December or January to February, Saturdays or Wednesdays

Six-month course 6th grade
Comprehensive support during the half-year before the Gymi exam, a particularly demanding time for children and parents. Academically, your child works through all exam-relevant content in German and maths: closing gaps, deepening knowledge and applying it confidently to real exam questions. Mentally, the integrated learning coaching strengthens self-organisation, concentration and coping with exam pressure, so that your child goes into the exam well prepared and with confidence.
Content: maths and German with intensive essay training, introductory tasks for each course day, progress check with personal feedback after every course day, mock exam with detailed debrief, learning coaching for children and input for parents
Included: course folder, course platform with learning videos and digital flashcards, additional online lessons (when a topic is still unclear), recordings of missed course days, support via chat between course days; optional extra essays corrected at any time

Workshops
On exam anxiety and blackouts, concentration and learning blocks, e.g. “Exam anxiety & blackout” for 6th grade and the 2nd/3rd year of Sek: 3 hours, location Stadelhofen, CHF 175.
Probation-period support
For pupils who prepared with GVZH: support through the first semester at the Gymnasium with an initial meeting, a weekly structure, sessions on working methods and study strategies, subject coaching and test preparation. At the Langgymnasium with a focus on Latin, at the Kurzgymnasium tailored to the chosen profile.
