About us

The Kaufmännische Verband Schweiz is the competence center for education and careers in the commercial and business environment as well as in the retail trade. With over 150 years of association history, it is the oldest employee association in Switzerland that is still active today. Its vision "Empowering people. Together we are the future." focuses on people as human capital, knowledge carriers and personalities with their individual needs.

Target groups

Employees in the commercial and business management sector, commercial apprentices, apprentices from the retail trade, those interested in training and continuing education, further training.

Members

The Kaufmännische Verband Schweiz supports its approximately 35,000 members and customers with career-related questions.

Focus & activities

The Swiss Commercial Association is involved in national committees and cooperation projects - from basic education to higher vocational training. It sets standards for a future-oriented education, economic and social policy. It also represents employees in around 40 collective employment agreements and is committed to strengthening their employability.

Training & continuing education, further training

Through its schools - commercial basic and continuing education, further training schools, the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ) and the Swiss Institute of Business Administration (SIB) - the Swiss Commercial Association offers practical training and further education. As a sponsor or co-sponsor of various vocational and professional examinations, it plays an active role in shaping the Swiss Education System.
