About us

fmpro is the Swiss Association for Facility Management and Maintenance. With around 900 members, we are the largest national association in this sector and, in the case of maintenance, the only one.

Target groups

fmpro is an association of managers with around 85% of its members in management positions. A good 65% of members are responsible for facility management and maintenance within companies, while 35% offer consulting, services and products.

Members

fmpro focuses primarily on the Swiss market and broad regional coverage, but also maintains contact with international associations and organizations. fmpro offers a wide range of services and platforms that members can use free of charge or at reduced prices. These include various media and services, teaching materials, events and networking platforms - an overview can be found athere.

Across the board, fmpro makes an important contribution to strengthening the perception of the profession and contributes to the professionalization of the industry. Memberships ensure that the association can further develop this commitment for all representatives of the industry.

Focus & activities

Education, network and services are the three main pillars of our industry commitment. These are highly interdependent.

• In the area of education, the focus is on continuing education, further training via Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) and Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE), for which fmpro is part of the responsible body. We offer day courses on current topics through the fmpro Academy.
• fmpro's regional and specialist networks make an important contribution to the personal networking of specialists and managers through a wide range of events. With the fmpro webcast, our association also offers virtual formats for the transfer of know-how.
• The services of fmpro include the print magazine fmpro service, specialist books, a job exchange, an online members' area with contacts and specialist content as well as the FM salary study.

Training & continuing education, further training

A major goal of our association is to secure the next generation of specialists and managers in the facility management and maintenance sector.

As a provider of federal PET qualifications, we introduce around 350 new specialists and managers to the market every year. Thanks to qualified employees, a company can take advantage of market opportunities and successfully master challenges.
