A Master's degree in Business Education opens up many career opportunities: You can work as a vocational school teacher or as a teacher at business high schools, but the path to the private sector is also open to you, e.g. in personnel development or adult education.
Lateral entry into the teaching profession for vocational schools
If you would like to become a vocational school teacher, you will first complete the preparatory service, the traineeship. This lasts approx. 18 months in Baden-Württemberg and is remunerated according to the regulations of the respective federal state. Graduates of the Master's degree course in Business Education at Allensbach Universities are admitted to the preparatory service in Baden-Württemberg if they have a first degree in business administration and can prove that they have a minimum number of ECTS in the subjects of business administration (BWL) and economics (VWL) after completing their Master's degree. These two subjects are the first and second subjects respectively. Allensbach Universities offers additional modules in Economics if the required number of ECTS is not achieved, e.g. because few ECTS were acquired in the first degree program. As a rule, the specialization "Economics as a teaching subject" must be taken in the Master's degree course in order to obtain a sufficient number of ECTS in Economics. One year of professional experience is also required for admission to the traineeship and a certain average grade must be achieved in the Master's program. Employees of family offices benefit in particular from the new specialization "Family Office Management". If you work in an investment company or in banking, insurance and securities supervision (e.g. ECB, Bundesbank, BaFin), a Master's in Finance can sharpen your profile and qualify you for management positions.

The Master's degree in Business Administration and Management comprises 120 ECTS and requires a Bachelor's degree in economics with at least 180 ECTS. The course is offered via distance learning and is suitable for working professionals.
4th MBA General Management
In addition to specialist business knowledge, this degree course will provide you with a sound management education.
Ideal for graduates with more than 210 ECTS!
This degree program is offered in three variants:
1. with a standard period of study of one year and 60 ECTS. You can choose this option if you have earned at least 240 ECTS in your first degree.
2. with a standard period of study of 18 months and 90 ECTS if you have acquired at least 210 ECTS in your first degree.
3. with a standard period of study of two years and 120 ECTS, if you have 180 ECTS from your first degree.
The MBA in General Management distance learning program basically comprises three study sections:
1. business management basics
You will acquire the most important fundamentals of business administration and learn the conventions of scientific work in economics.
The methods and techniques of self-management.
2. leadership orientation and impact on results
On the basis of your new basic knowledge, you will now deepen your knowledge in the fields of Accounting & Controlling and Investment & Financing.
3. internationalization and Master's thesis
You will discuss business and economic issues in an international context. You will then write your Master's thesis. With your Master's thesis, which forms the conclusion of your studies as an independent research paper, you will demonstrate that you can work independently on a problem from the subject areas of the Master's program using scientific methods. Of course, you will be individually supervised by our professors during this phase.
