BTB - Bildungswerk für therapeutische Berufe
The Bildungswerk für therapeutische Berufe (BTB) has specialized in training and continuing education, further training in the healthcare sector since 1985. With 40 years of experience, it is constantly developing its range of courses in the fields of prevention and health promotion, education, psychology, human and veterinary medicine, care and nursing as well as fitness and sport. All courses are characterized by practical relevance, individual personal support and high professional quality.

In addition to the printed study letters, they also support individual learning in PDF and audio format. The e-learning offer includes online exams and the AI learning partner StudyBuddy as a flexible and interactive learning aid and also - depending on the course - learning videos, podcasts and web-based training. Depending on the focus of interest, a wide range of continuing education, further training courses are available to caregivers for the elderly after a few years of professional experience, such as the Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE) in Migration Specialist, Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Team Leader in Social and Socio-Medical Institutions or Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Social Care. Continuing education, further training at Colleges of Higher Education (CHE) is also possible, for example in social pedagogy, as an activation specialist or community animator. With a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate, a Bachelor's degree course is also possible, for example in occupational therapy, applied psychology or social work with specializations in social pedagogy, social work or socio-cultural animation.

The path to a career as an occupational educator leads via further training, relevant professional activity during training and the professional examination (BP). It is also possible to start with the EFZ as a care specialist followed by further training to become a certified head of occupational education HF.

Please note: The higher professional examination (HFP) to become a work educator with a federal diploma was abolished in 2023.
