About us

The Fondation Esprit Francophonie is committed to the sustainable promotion of the French language in Switzerland. On its platforms, it provides teachers and learners with a wide range of supplementary materials for French lessons and exam preparation. In particular, it supports educational institutions with questions relating to the evaluation of language skills.

Target groups

Our services are aimed at a diverse audience within the French-speaking and French-learning community, in particular:

• Learnerswho would like to officially certify their language skills and thus obtain an important certificate for their CV.
• Teachers and specialistsin the field of French as a foreign language who want to provide their learners with a recognized language certificate for life and are looking for pedagogical resources, further training and support in language evaluation.
• Companies and institutionswho need reliable and standardized tests to assess the language level of their employees.

As a specialized examination organization, the Foundation works with a strong network of certified experts and major Swiss partner organizations that are jointly committed to promoting the French language and cultural diversity in Switzerland.

Focus & activities

Professional practical support:
We accompany teachers in French lessons at primary and secondary schools, at Universities of Teacher Education and in adult education and support them in designing language evaluations and in teaching exam preparation.

Proof of competence:
The foundation organizes the DELF and DALF examinations throughout Switzerland, which correspond to the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The internationally recognized diplomas are valid worldwide and for life and are issued by France Éducation international. They open doors for continuing education, further training, professional qualifications and admissions to French-speaking Universities of Applied Sciences and universities.

Training & continuing education, further training

We organize specific continuing education, further training on topics related to language evaluation and French as a foreign language (FLE). Schools at all levels and adult education organizations benefit from our expertise in continuing education, further training, individual coaching and consulting.
