Training in Infant Development, for example in the form of training to become a First Step Instructor, does not require participants to have any prior knowledge of baby development and infant development. An interest in the subject and the motivation to deal in depth with the developmental stages of the individual weeks and months of a baby's life are, of course, basic requirements for working in this field.
