What are ICDL courses (formerly ECDL courses)?

ICDL (International Certificate of Digital Literacy) is the International Computer Driving License - and successor to the ECDL (European Computer Driving License). This internationally recognized certificate is available for four levels (Base - Standard - Advanced - Expert). It confirms that you have the appropriate computer knowledge and skills.

The course offer consists of a total of 15 modules that meet the various requirements for dealing with IT in the workplace: from basic knowledge in dealing with operating systems (Windows, Mac, etc.) and files as well as the common programs for texts, spreadsheets, Internet, mail and social media to expert level, where you deal with complex database structures, security issues and the creation of sophisticated presentations, for example.

The modular curricula are published by a central organization, the ICDL Foundation. Identical examinations are held in around 150 countries according to these specifications.
