There are various ways to become a photographer. Attending a photography course with a certificate offers a good introduction to photography and the opportunity to make a name for yourself with independent work. These qualifications are not federally recognized, but this says nothing about their quality. An alternative would be a school-based apprenticeship (Federal VET Diploma), but this is associated with costs. College of Higher Education would also be an option. The loss of wages is an important cost factor for full-time school-based courses.
