At Universities, prospective special needs teachers who want to work at a special needs school can choose one of two specializations for their Master's degree in Special Needs Education: Early Special Needs Education (HFE) or Special Needs Education (SHP).

Anyone wishing to study for a Master's degree in special education in order to work at a special education school, for example, requires either a teaching diploma recognized by the EDK for regular classes at pre-school, primary or secondary level, or at least a Bachelor's degree in psychomotor skills or speech therapy.
