Real estate trustees are real estate experts and offer comprehensive, diverse and professional advisory services. Their clients include individuals or groups of individuals, property owners, foundations, companies or investors, whom they support in all matters relating to the purchase/sale, management, brokerage, appraisal/valuation and marketing of real estate. They thus make a significant contribution to the success of the real estate sector, which is sometimes affected by strong economic fluctuations.
The Higher Professional Examination for Real Estate Trustees has been in existence since 1991 and is therefore well established on the Swiss job market. The HFP is sponsored by two organizations: the Swiss Association of Real Estate Professionals SVIT Switzerland and the Union suisse des professionnels de l'immobilier USPI Suisse - two long-standing and established players in the real estate industry that are committed to providing well-trained specialists in the real estate sector with a wide range of continuing education opportunities.
The Advanced Federal Diploma Examination (HFP) is one of the further education options offered by the PET sector and is a federally recognized examination. It concludes with a federally recognized diploma ("eidg. diploma") and, together with the postgraduate diplomas (NDS-HF), represents the highest level of education in higher vocational education and training.
The federal diploma generally builds on the federal certificate (professional examination; BP). It confirms a high level of professional specialization and the ability to manage independently. Graduates of the HFP are in high demand on the Swiss job market due to their practical training.
