How is AI changing the profession of marketing specialists, and is the professional certification still worth it?
Artificial intelligence is significantly changing the day-to-day work of marketing professionals. Today, AI tools can assist, for example, with copywriting, brainstorming, data analysis, targeting audiences, and content creation. At the same time, strategic thinking, an understanding of marketing, creativity, communication, and the ability to evaluate results remain core competencies.
The role of a marketing professional will therefore not simply be replaced by AI. Rather, the way marketing tasks are carried out is changing. Marketing professionals must increasingly understand which tasks they can effectively delegate to AI, how to evaluate results, and how to integrate AI into marketing processes in a targeted manner.
For this reason, continuing education, further training to become a marketing specialist remains relevant. The Federal Certificate not only provides knowledge about individual marketing tools but, in particular, develops skills in marketing concepts, strategy, market development, project management, and the integration of various marketing measures. These fundamentals remain important even as the tools used evolve.
Anyone pursuing further training to become a marketing specialist today should therefore also keep an eye on digital developments and the effective use of AI in marketing. The professional certification can still be a valuable credential—especially for those who wish to systematically expand their professional expertise and take on more responsibility in marketing.
Conclusion:AI is transforming marketing, but it does not make sound marketing expertise obsolete. What is becoming increasingly crucial is the combination of subject matter expertise, strategic thinking, creativity, and the ability to use AI sensibly and critically.
