Building on a completed basic education in the commercial or technical field, you can, for example, aim for a federal certificate as a marketing specialist or opt for a certificate course to become a product manager. Such courses are offered by some schools and training providers and are usually part-time. This continuing education, further training can take between seven months and one and a half years and usually ends with a dissertation. Following a successful thesis, you will be awarded a school diploma from the respective training institute.
In addition to Federal Professional Examination and certificate courses, there is also the option of continuing your education as part of a CAS or MAS course in product management. Such a CAS or MAS is a continuing education course at a university and is primarily aimed at people who already have a university degree and practical experience. However, admission "sur dossier" is also possible, where the university management awards admission based on your previous professional experience and your education and continuing, further training. An MAS (Master of Advanced Studies) in Product Management generally takes four semesters, i.e. two years, and ends with a Master's thesis, while a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) takes one semester.

Training as a product manager is not federally regulated, so you have various options for further training in this area.

However, the basic requirement for all continuing education, further training in product management, such as a certificate course, CAS, DAS or MAS postgraduate course, is in most cases a completed basic education in the commercial or technical field as well as several years of professional experience in marketing, sales or advertising. It therefore always depends on the degree you are aiming for in the field of product management - it is best to contact the school of your choice and clarify the admission requirements directly.
