How does psychosocial counseling training work and how much does it cost?

The psychosocial counselor training courses last approx. 3 years and can be completed while working. Classroom teaching takes place on a daily basis, at weekends or in blocks.
Approximately 20 training days of psychosocial counseling must be completed per year. In addition, there is time for self-study, written work and practice sessions. In total, the training comprises around 1,000 hours of learning and work.
The course fees for psychosocial counseling range between CHF 12,700 and CHF 20,800.
The costs for literature, examination and diploma fees amount to approximately CHF 2,500.
For seminars with overnight stays away from home, there are additional costs.
The costs for supervision and self-awareness sessions depend on the course provider and the method.
