Admission to the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) for Certified Public Accountants is open to those who hold a Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Fiduciary Accounting, Finance and Accounting, Computer Science or Banking, or a Swiss university degree, a degree from a university of applied sciences or a College of Higher Education, or a Federal Diploma as a Tax Expert, Fiduciary Expert, Accounting and Controlling Expert, Computer Science, Banking Expert or Banker. tax expert, fiduciary expert, accounting and controlling expert, IT specialist, banking specialist or an equivalent qualification. This continuing education, further training to become a Certified Public Accountant is a Federal Advanced Professional Examination (AFPE) that builds on a Federal Professional Examination, a related Advanced Professional Examination, a University of Applied Sciences or a University degree.

The following competencies can be achieved with the Certified Public Accountant training course:

• Competencies in the context of managing your own office

A Swiss certified public accountant has the following responsibilities:

• Employment of senior management

The continuing education, further training to become a certified public accountant is designed to take four years and requires the prerequisite modules "Statistics", "Economics", "Quantitative Methods" and "Tax & Legal". The basic training consists of three modules: Audit, Tax & Legal and Accounting & Finance (Corporate Finance, Management & Financial Accounting / Financial Reporting). At the diploma examination level in the Professional Judgement (PJ) module, you will be prepared for the federal diploma examination. In order to be admitted to the Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (AFPE) as an auditor with a federal diploma, the following is required:

• University degree (University of Applied Sciences or University), Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE), Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) or equivalent qualification

and

• Industry qualification based on the requirements defined by the responsible body or equivalent qualification

and

• At least 4 years of professional experience with at least 4,800 working hours

and

• no entry in the central criminal record that could raise doubts about the candidate's integrity
