I've always wanted to improve my English skills in the shortest possible time. Evening courses were not a satisfactory solution for me, as I didn't have any fun or learning success. For me, a language study trip is still the most efficient way to learn a language and get to know the country and its people at the same time.
I was in the south of England, on the coast of Bournemouth.
I started on 02.01.2017 with an intensive English course for 4 weeks and also booked an additional week of private lessons.
I was very happy with my stay. My personal highlights were the excellent host family and the breathtaking surroundings. Bournemouth is right by the sea and is not as "crowded" as London. Bournemouth is great for outdoor activities and offers incredible scenery.
Personally, I was able to retreat from my job for a few weeks and immerse myself in a new world. I had enough time to immerse myself in the language and culture, far away from the normal stress of everyday life! Professionally, I can benefit from my new language skills and feel more confident when communicating in English. I approach suppliers more calmly and confidently and am perceived as a competent contact person.
You should allow enough time and set yourself realistic goals. A healthy dose of spontaneity should also not be missing.
