Many seminar providers offer seminars on topics such as rhetoric, personnel selection, leadership, time management, self-management, communication, stress management, project management, moderation, sales seminars, negotiation techniques, succession planning, working methods, appraisal interviews, references, interview techniques and presentation techniques.

Seminar organizers often also offer seminars on complaint management, body language and voice, small talk, networking, e-mail management, telephone training, customer meetings, customer acquisition and many other topics.

For companies that want to train some of their employees, the question always arises as to whether public seminars or company seminars are the better choice. If you only want to train a few of your employees in a skill that is offered in public seminars, such as stress management, it may well make sense to book such a course for them.
