Yes, there are continuing education, further training courses in coaching that lead to a federal qualification. These are

• Company mentor with Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE)
• Counselor in the psychosocial field with Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (Achtung: Englisch wie gleichg. Dipl. HF!)

You will also find postgraduate studies CHE courses and CAS courses, which are often nationally or internationally recognized. Find out more about the coaches courses and their recognition from the individual schools.

If you want to work as a mental trainer or mental coach, you have various options for training and further education in Switzerland. As there is no federally recognized training in the non-university sector, there are a large number of different courses with different focuses, also because consultants, coaches or trainers are not protected terms. Only universities of applied sciences offer continuing education courses that provide you with comprehensive training in the field of mental training. These include, for example, the postgraduate course leading to the Certificate of Advanced Studies CAS Psychological & Mental Training in Sport (UAS).
If you do not have a license for this course or would like to continue your education in another way, there are, for example, certificate courses for mental trainers or mental coaches. Basic courses are often offered that provide an initial insight into this exciting subject area and then give interested parties the opportunity to build on this by attending further courses that even include SVEB 1, for example. You will also find continuing education, further training courses that award certification from the European Coaching Association (ECA), such as the ECA Master Mental Coach / Dipl. Mentaltherapeut/in. This European-recognized training, in combination with a basic anatomical training course of 450 hours, also qualifies for registration with ASCA as a mental therapist.
