Der frühere MarKom-Abschluss ist kein eidgenössisch anerkannter Berufsabschluss. Die damalige MarKom-Zulassungsprüfung vermittelte Grundlagen in Marketing, Kommunikation, Verkauf und Public Relations und erleichterte den Einstieg in weiterführende Berufsprüfungen.

Dabei sind drei Punkte wichtig:

• Früheres MarKom-Zertifikat: Die gemeinsame MarKom-Zulassungsprüfung fand am 5. Dezember 2023 zum letzten Mal statt. Das Zertifikat war früher fünf Jahre gültig und bis zum Prüfungsjahr 2018 für bestimmte Berufsprüfungen obligatorisch. Seit 2019 ist es für diese Zulassungen nicht mehr generell vorgeschrieben.
• Heutige MarKom®-Angebote: Einzelne Bildungsanbieter führen weiterhin Lehrgänge mit MarKom®-Zertifizierung durch. Dabei handelt es sich nicht automatisch um die frühere gemeinsame Zulassungsprüfung. Informiere dich deshalb beim jeweiligen Anbieter, wer die Prüfung durchführt und welchen Stellenwert der Abschluss hat.
• Anerkennung auf dem Arbeitsmarkt: Eine schweizweit einheitliche Anerkennung oder ein generell hohes Ansehen des früheren Zertifikats lässt sich nicht zuverlässig belegen. Für Arbeitgeber können die vermittelten Grundlagenkenntnisse weiterhin nützlich sein; entscheidend sind jedoch auch Berufserfahrung und die Anforderungen der jeweiligen Stelle.

Wenn du heute eine Weiterbildung im Marketing suchst, vergleiche deshalb die Lerninhalte, den konkreten Abschluss und die beruflichen Anschlussmöglichkeiten. Für einen eidgenössisch anerkannten Abschluss kommen beispielsweise eine Berufsprüfung oder eine höhere Fachprüfung infrage.

These continuing education programs provide important foundational knowledge for a career in marketing and, depending on the provider, lead to a certificate or a professional association certification. Those who wish to specialize further afterward may, for example, consider pursuing further training to become a marketing specialist with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education.
