Learning. Living. Engadin. - Study tourism where others spend their best vacations. In the middle of the Engadin mountains in Samedan, the College of Higher Education for Tourism & Management (HFTGR) has been offering first-class tourism training and continuing education, further training in marketing, events and PR for over 30 years. The main course leads to the federally recognized diploma in tourism CHE. What you can expect:

- Study models for the diploma in tourism CHE: internship model or seasonal model
- Without Matura to Bachelor CHE: in just 4 years CHE diploma + Bachelor UAS + professional experience
- Preparation for specialist & management positions in tourism, marketing, event management, NGOs, business & other service industries
- Specializations in CHE studies and continuing education, further training: Marketing, Event Management or PR
- Small classes, individual support: family atmosphere enables personal support
- Living on campus: with ski slopes, cross-country ski trails, hiking trails, bike trails and swimming lakes right on the doorstep
Strengths: Practical, small classes, campus life and a strong network. Internship or dual (seasonal) model plus degrees in Event & Marketing. Into the 3rd Bachelor year with the Tourism Summer School.

In the tourism industry, you will find training courses leading to the Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Hotel-Gastro-Tourism HGT, Travel Agency Management Assistant, Hotel Management Assistant, Restaurant Management Assistant), as well as continuing education, Vocational Education and Training (FPE) or Advanced Professional Examination (AFPE) in tourism. Training and continuing education, further training at Colleges of Higher Education (CHE), Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and universities are also possible. Federal Professional Examinations in tourism include the Federal Diploma of Higher Education as a Tourism Assistant, Travel Specialist, Tourism Management Specialist and others. Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) courses include continuing education, further training as a tourism expert or restaurant manager. At HFs, you can choose between the Hôtelier-Restaurateur/Hôtelière-Restauratrice, Tourism Specialist and Housekeeping Manager courses. It is not only possible to study tourism at Universities of Applied Sciences; universities also offer courses in tourism or hotel management, but only as Master's or postgraduate courses.

The Sierre School of Business offers three practice-oriented degree programs: Tourism, Business Administration and Business Informatics.

The Bachelor's degree course in Tourism provides a comprehensive insight into the tourism industry and offers a modern, practice-oriented education that focuses on key skills such as management, digitalization of services or sustainability. Thanks to specific projects carried out in direct cooperation with external partners such as companies, administrations and associations, students acquire specialist skills throughout their education that enable them to enter the world of work directly.

The School of Business works closely with the three institutes of Tourism, Entrepreneurship & Management and Business Informatics, as all lecturers are also active in research.
