My name is Layla Lüthi. I am thirty years old. I currently work in planning and lecturer management. I originally completed an apprenticeship as a track layer at SBB and gained my first professional experience. I then went on to complete continuing education, further training and a diploma in commercial and technical management. I am currently studying business administration.
I am currently completing a traineeship at WISS.CHE degree course in business administrationto train as a business economist CHE.

I had already gained a good insight into the business management field through my continuing education, further training as a technical businesswoman. This sparked my interest in this field and I wanted to continue there. By joining the WISS School as an employee, I was able to get to know this business administration CHE course even better. I then decided to study Business Administration CHE myself.

At the WISS School, the lecturers on the Business Administration CHE degree course are all specialists with an important position in the business world. This means that a great deal of specialist knowledge from practice flows into the lessons.
Studying Business Administration CHE helps me to approach problems and tasks in a different way. I now think in a much more networked way. In my day-to-day work, things from the course often come to mind and I can apply them straight away. The CHE degree course in Business Administration teaches you a lot of methods that can be used directly in everyday working life.

As I had already completed my continuing education, further training as a technical business administrator, I was able to switch to the CHE Business Administration degree program as a lateral entrant. This allowed me to start the CHE course in the third semester and shorten one academic year, as I already had experience from my continuing education, further training as a technical business management assistant. As a result, the CHE Business Administration course only takes two years instead of three.

What I like about the lecturers is that they take a lot of time for me and engage with us as a class. As a CHE business economist, you have to think in a networked way. The lecturers teach us this very specifically. In addition to the implementation in one subject, we are also taught how to network with other subjects. In this way, you get to know many different perspectives from different industries and other professional fields. This is extremely important and is implemented very well at WISS.

For me, the biggest challenge in studying Business Administration CHE is not the CHE course itself, but the current challenges around homeschooling. In a way, I really appreciate it because you don't lose any time traveling to and from school - you're at home straight after class. However, as I also have my workplace at home, I really miss the interpersonal contact with other people or the lecturers.

A person's market value increases with every continuing education, further training course they complete. As soon as you continue your education, you broaden your horizons. This gives you new perspectives. That's why the business administration CHE course at WISS is so beneficial to me.

In the fourth semester of the Business Administration CHE course, we studied business psychology. I was very interested in this subject and I really enjoy it. I'm also interested in psychology in other ways. Our lecturer showed us things that I hadn't even thought about before. We were given lots of tips and learned about business psychology methods. As a result, I also reflected on my own life and therefore perceive other people differently. It sparked my interest in this area and I would like to develop my skills in it later on. Business administration CHE also has a lot to do with interpersonal relationships, although many of the subjects are rather dry. This is because CHE business economists have to be able to talk to other people and exchange ideas. In addition, this degree is a good foundation stone in terms of a generalist education, so that you can then specialize further at a University of Applied Sciences and consolidate your knowledge in a specific area.

With an extra-occupational business administration CHE degree, you show your motivation to progress as an employee, to achieve something and to develop yourself. I believe that this will open doors for me within the Group. With a CHE degree course like this, you show that you are willing to make something of yourself and don't want to stagnate.
In my opinion, education is the most important thing in life. You should continue your education throughout your life. I don't think I would be where I am today without a CHE degree in business administration. I would like to study business psychology at the University of Applied Sciences in the medium term.

CHE business economists are needed in all companies - whether in the front or back office, planning, accounting or sales. A degree in Business Administration CHE is certainly a good foundation for gaining a foothold in business. It helps you advance both professionally and privately. The CHE course also opens the door to studying at a University of Applied Sciences.

It wasn't so much a key moment, but rather a positive affirmation that I experienced. We had to switch from private lessons to homeschooling very quickly. I was fascinated by how quickly this was possible. It worked well from one day to the next. We were able to do all our lessons online. The lecturers implemented this well and also adapted well to the new form of teaching. The students were also able to adapt very quickly. Of course, there were also some minor disagreements. If it hadn't worked so smoothly, the Business Administration CHE course would certainly have been much more strenuous, for example through self-study. For me, this was proof that I can also act in exceptional situations and something good comes out of it.

I also grew a lot personally during my continuing, further training in business administration CHE. My personal development has been positive. I also approach problems differently in my private life and perceive things differently. My thinking is more networked and I now react differently. I think further development is extremely important, as it is the only way we can grow. That's what moves us forward. Hence my appeal: "Never stop learning. No matter what you do, do the right continuing education, further training. We as a society can only develop further through education."
