The preparatory courses for the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) in Complementary Therapy with a Federal Diploma in Cranio Sacral Therapy do not require an industry certificate. However, please note that you must have such a certificate in order to register for the AFPE.

It is an advantage if you acquire basic medical knowledge in special courses before you start your training in cranio therapy, but this is not compulsory. You also have the option of completing these during the course of your training.

As a practicing therapist in Cranio Therapy and member of Cranio Suisse, your continuing education is reviewed every two years. This continuing education requirement for practicing members means that you must be able to demonstrate at least 80 hours of continuing education every two years, which you must obtain as a new member (within the first four years) through recognized specialist courses, and after these four years also elective courses. The schools will inform you about the further training regulations.

As a qualified naturopath, you already have a solid education in naturopathic practices (NHP) and therefore already have a broad knowledge that also includes conventional medicine. This means that you do not need to attend another course on basic medical principles, which reduces the scope and duration of training in cranio therapy. Nevertheless, you must of course acquire basic methodological knowledge in craniosacral therapy. Please enquire about this point directly with the respective schools, who will be happy to help you with any questions you may have about your desired continuing education, further training.

Normally, all training or continuing education, further training in cranio therapy is not completed full-time, but on a part-time basis. However, this may still mean that you have to take time off work on individual course days, as not all lessons are limited to weekends or evenings.
