Continuing education, further training usually lasts 2–3 semesters and is completed on a part-time basis. Depending on the provider, lessons take place in the evenings, at weekends or in block form.

You will become the central interface between management, teams and external partners:

• Supporting executives in day-to-day business
• Organization and coordination of projects and processes
• Communication at management and decision-making level
• Preparation of analyses, presentations and bases for decision-making
• Planning and optimization of administrative processes

The focus is on efficient management support with a high level of personal responsibility

After passing the professional examination, you will receive the Federal Diploma of Higher Education as a management assistant.

The qualification is recognized in Switzerland and qualifies you for demanding assistance and coordination functions in the direct environment of executives.

The course costs vary depending on the provider, scope and form of instruction.

After passing the professional examination, you can receive up to 50% of the course costs from the federal government (max. CHF 9,500).

Additional costs are incurred for examination fees of CHF 2,200 (as of August 2025) and teaching materials.

With your degree, you will take on an important role in the company:

• Management assistant / executive assistant
• Team or department coordination
• Project and process support at management level

You will work closely with management or higher management levels and take on increasing coordinative and organizational responsibility. The specialist certificate increases your career and salary opportunities - the average annual salary is around CHF 83,000 - CHF 85,000 per year.
