Correspondence: How to write convincingly

Phrases in correspondence, i.e. correspondence and correspondence, such as "With reference to our telephone conversation, I am enclosing the requested documents" or "Thank you for your efforts. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have" are probably familiar to everyone. They are familiar and flow easily over the keyboard. However, such standard official sentences and empty phrases are now quite frowned upon - because not only has technology evolved, but so has communication and the style of writing when communicating with customers. In modern correspondence, whether by e-mail or telephone, the language is clearer and easier to understand. It is closer to colloquial language, in line with the motto: don't beat about the bush, get to the point (in English: keep it short and simple).

Companies are becoming increasingly aware of how important customer contacts and business correspondence are. They act as a kind of business card by which companies are perceived and assessed by potential customers. Correspondence, including out-of-office e-mails, which are often dismissed as unimportant, are part of corporate communication and must be formulated accordingly. Modern correspondence focuses on positive formulations. Instead of writing "no problem", for example, the sentence "I was happy to do that for you" is much more customer and solution-oriented and puts the customer in a positive mood.
