What are the training opportunities?
Many coaches work in education or social services. However, their knowledge and skills are also in demand in management and human resources.
In many professions, coaching training is recognized as supplementary further training. If you are interested in this, talk to your employer about it.
Prospects and further training opportunities
- You can follow up your training as a life coach with in-depth courses and specialize in specific topics and target groups, for example as a grief coach or for working with animals as a dog coach.
- If you are aiming for a federally recognized qualification, you can take the federal professional examination "Company mentor (BP)" exam. The preparation for this is modular and has already been partially fulfilled by your life coach training.
- If you work as a coach in employment, you have the opportunity to qualify as a coach following the professional examination.Swiss certified supervisor / coach (HFP)further training.
- If you work as a coach in the social sector, either as an employee or as a freelancer, you can take the higher professional examination to become aSwiss certified counselor in the psychosocial field (HFP)complete.
Work opportunities
- As a life coach, you can become self-employed without any further hurdles and with any school diploma or school certificate. It is an advantage if you join an association, e.g. the Swiss Professional Association for Coaching, Organizational Consulting and Supervision (bso) or the International Coach Federation (ICF).
- You can also work as an employed coach. However, some employers require the federal professional examination "Company mentor (BP)"
