Elias works as a logistics specialist in a large logistics company in Altishofen. The 26-year-old really enjoys his work as a clerk in the area of distribution logistics. Elias solves specialist problems in internal logistics independently and ensures a smooth supply for the drivers assigned to him. His line manager appreciates his process-oriented approach, his networked thinking and his implementation skills. Elias has already developed logistical concepts for sub-processes following a weak-point analysis and implemented most of them independently. He is interested in working on even more complex networked logistics problems and taking responsibility for overall logistics. In order to acquire the necessary knowledge in process-oriented logistics management, business administration and personnel management, Elias attended the logistics manager course. With his federal diploma, he secured a management position as logistics manager in a nearby rubber manufacturing company. After completing the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE), Elias was able to develop the strategy for the overall logistics process for the rubber products, plan the deployment of personnel and manage the warehouse staff. As a result, he has greatly increased his earnings and has numerous opportunities for professional development in the future.
As Head of Logistics, Elias will receive CHF 3,643 more per month than before and will therefore have at least CHF 1.62 million more at his disposal by the time he retires than if he had not taken this continuing education, further training and Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE).
As this theoretical calculation does not take into account any further salary increases, promotions or interest on savings, the salary can still increase significantly.
