What are the requirements for continuing education, further training as a technical customer service manager?
In order for participants in continuing education, further training in customer service to be able to register for the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) for Head of Technical Customer Service / Service with a federal diploma, they must fulfill the following conditions by the time they take the examination:
- Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Federal VET Diploma) or an equivalent qualification
and
- 5 years of professional experience in technical customer service, including 3 years in a management position
How is continuing education, further training to become a technical customer service manager structured?
Continuing education, further training in customer service serves as preparation for the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) in Technical Customer Service / Service Management and trains participants in the subjects that are tested in the AFPE. These are: Service management, business management, economics, personnel development and management, law and business organization, product and customer relationship management, as well as work techniques and communication. The continuing education, further training extends over two years and is offered by schools in Baden, Muttenz, Zug, Aarau and Winterthur, among others.
How long does continuing education, further training in customer service take?
Continuing education, further training in customer service can take different lengths of time depending on the degree you choose.
Seminars and workshops usually last a few days.
Continuing education, further training with a federal qualification extends over a longer period of time.
- Participants in a preparatory course for the Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE) in Technical Customer Service/Service attend the part-time preparatory course over the course of a year.
- Prospective technical customer service / service managers must plan two years of in-service training.
Which subjects are examined in the continuing education, further training to become a technical customer service specialist?
The final examination in continuing education, further training in customer service with Federal Professional Examination consists of five parts, all of which are tested in writing as well as orally or practically. The only exception is the "Supporting and supervising employees" part of the exam, which is only examined in writing. In addition, there are the examination parts "Planning technical customer service / service", "Implementing company organization and legal provisions", "Applying work and communication techniques" and "Supporting and satisfying customers with services".
