The PWA (post-baccalaureate business education) is therefore aimed specifically at interested parties who have a good baccalaureate degree in their pocket but have no desire to complete a long course of study at a university of applied sciences or university. The course is structured as follows:

  1. Interested parties apply to a vacancy in a bank, insurance company or a company that offers training places for the PWA. The internship contract is concluded directly with the training managers.
  2. Training as a business specialist starts with a 6-month, full-time theoretical and classroom component in which participants are trained in business administration, economics, law, accounting, English, French and IT. The course material builds on the knowledge gained in the Matura and equips graduates with sound know-how for everyday business life. Some subjects are completed with external examinations.
  3. The 18-month practical part is completed in the company. After just a short time, the trainees are entrusted with challenging tasks. Figures show that most PWA graduates receive a permanent position in the company after completing their training as a business specialist and work their way up the career ladder.
