As an investment expert, you carry out the following activities in accordance with the steps of the structured investment process:

• Determination of customer needs
• Clarification of the legal and tax situation
• Required financial planning
• Asset allocation and financial planning derived from this to create investment proposals

• Monitoring and reporting

Finance and investment experts continuously update their investment management expertise and their knowledge of financial products and the legal, regulatory and tax provisions in their clients' countries. You must meet the following requirements by the time you take the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) to become a finance and investment expert with a federal diploma:

• Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Federal VET Diploma), Matura or equivalent qualification
• At least five years of professional experience in banking or finance

or

• Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE), Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (HFP), HF Diploma or Diploma of a University of Applied Sciences: English like Diploma HF!
• At least three years of professional experience in banking or finance

or

• University degree
• At least two years of professional experience in banking or finance
