In addition to providing support to their supervisors, HR assistants also take on independent tasks that they carry out on their own initiative. These tasks can vary depending on the size of the company. As a result, HR assistants may work as part of a team or on their own, depending on the situation.
Upon successful completion of the HR Assistant training program with HRSE certification, you will be qualified to independently manage the HR administration of small and medium-sized businesses or companies of any size. You will also be involved in the recruitment process, for example by drafting job postings in consultation with your supervisors and posting them online on the appropriate job portals. You will answer calls from prospective candidates, review the application packages received, make an initial selection, and organize and coordinate interview schedules. This also includes drafting employment contracts according to specifications and clarifying benefits and salary grades. Furthermore, HR assistants (formerly known as personnel assistants) serve as the first point of contact for employees’ questions regarding HR matters (sick leave, vacation, pay, holidays, etc.). To this end, they also draft appropriate information sheets and make the relevant information available (e.g., on the intranet). Finally, they are also involved in the exit process. For example, they organize exit interviews in the event of resignations or terminations and issue employment references in accordance with guidelines.
Depending on the company, HR assistants may also work in other areas, such as project management or apprentice supervision.
