My name is Fabio Parati and I originally trained as a retail specialist. I am currently completing further training as an SME management specialist at SIU and, as a training consultant for the Electrical Project Manager Installation and Safety course, I can report directly on my experiences as a participant (in another SIU course).
Our students interested in the electrical project manager training program benefit from:
The SIU school offers the following electrotechnical courses:
The courses offered in electrical engineering range from preliminary courses to professional examinations, higher professional examinations and federal diplomas. This means that you can continue your education even after graduating as an electrical project manager.
The Electrical Project Manager Installation and Safety course is suitable for all holders of an EFZ in the electrical sector with at least two years of professional experience. The electrical project manager course is for anyone who wants to take on more responsibility in the company and is the first step towards becoming a master craftsman.
Completion of the electrical project manager course with a federal certificate opens up numerous opportunities for participants. Not only do they receive the inspection authorization, but they can also continue seamlessly with the SIU with the electrical expert in order to obtain the master craftsman's certificate. The electrical project manager and electrical project manager installation and safety course enables participants to manage their own projects and therefore take on more responsibility on the construction site.
With the knowledge and professional experience they have acquired, electrical project managers can handle projects from planning and installation through to handover to the customer. They prepare quotations for the projects, calculate them and draw the installation plans. Electrical project managers also carry out electrotechnical control measurements in accordance with the Low Voltage Installation Ordinance (NIV). The field of work also includes renewable energies as well as building and communication technology. Their customers include all operators and users of electrical installations, whom they advise on safety-related issues. Electrical project managers work on site with their customers or in their office.
Training to become an electrical project manager for installation and safety costs CHF 2,495 per semester, subject to subsidy deductions.
