Further training to become a medical practice coordinator builds on the knowledge and skills of the medical practice assistant (EFZ) and related professions in the healthcare sector.
The subject matter of three modules of the Medical Practice Coordinator training is the same for both directions - clinical and practice management:
There are three different modules in the two further training courses "Medical Practice Coordinator".
In clinical directionAfter completing the medical practice coordinator training course, you will be able to assess the health situation of long-term patients. If necessary, you will consult with the doctor, consider possible measures and discuss these with the patient. You offer patients with chronic illnesses independent check-ups, advise them and know how to motivate them and accompany them through crises. You will also know which aids and services to recommend and when to call in which external specialists.
In a practical directionAfter completing the Medical Practice Coordinator course, you will be able to manage the non-medical tasks of a medical practice. You will be able to lead a team - both with regard to the needs and requirements of the employees and from an economic perspective, with a view to occupational safety and quality. You can also take on or supervise all other operational tasks, from accounting to the maintenance or procurement of new IT systems and equipment to marketing, and thus contribute to the economic success of the practice together with the medical staff.
