The Advanced Professional Examination for Advertising Technicians with a Federal Diploma examines the subject areas of marketing, personnel management, accounting and technology, so that the preparatory courses are also based on these requirements and prepare participants extensively for passing this examination. Persons with a federal certificate as a designer in the skilled trades are also admitted to the examination, as are persons with an equivalent certificate. In addition, all candidates must have five years of professional experience in value engineering, two of which must be in a management and technical position.

Advertising technicians conceive, design, manufacture and install advertising technology products for marketing communication.
