What are the main disadvantages of Agile Coach training?
After completing the Agile Coach training, you will be able to conduct team coaching and supervision sessions professionally and support your clients in developing their skills and agility in a targeted manner. The focus is on dealing with complex consulting situations with teams and groups. The main focus is on supporting the restructuring and optimization of internal processes and thinking traditions in line with agile values and principles, but with a kind of external perspective.
The main disadvantages of Agile Coach training are:
- The Agile Coach training with certificate is not a federal certificate. It is usually a specialization following coach training or Scrum courses, which generally require at least three years of professional experience in project management, change management, consulting, coaching, HR or as a manager. Certifications from the Scrum Alliance are well recognized. Find out exactly what is on offer, the qualification and the associated career opportunities. An alternative would be a postgraduate course at a College of Higher Education or a CAS module at a Universities.
- At certificate level, the course content and admission requirements are generally not regulated and can be determined autonomously by the schools. However, there are usually regulations for association diplomas. Ask the Agile Coach training providers whether and which associations recognize their certificates or what else is required for association recognition. Please note that some association certificates require recertification.
- If you want to work in agile coaching, you need to be very persistent, frustration-tolerant and resilient. In addition to analytical and structured thinking, openness, respect, courage and goal orientation are required. Not everyone has these personal qualities.
- You often have to prove that you are up to date in rapidly developing areas. A CAS course or even an MAS degree can also be a good proof of competence for a qualified job. This is because competition in the consulting and coaching sector is fierce.
Graduates of Agile Coach training generally work as self-employed Agile Coaches or as employees in a personnel development company. As the training is independent of profession and sector, they can work in practically all companies and sectors.
