Ein reines Bioverfahrenstechnik-Studium gibt es derzeit nicht. Es gibt jedoch Module innerhalb eines Studiums mit dem Schwerpunkt Bioprozessentwicklung und Bioingenieurwesen". Hier lernen die Studierenden die wichtigsten verfahrenstechnischen Arbeitsmethoden und Grundoperationen der Prozessindustrie kennen. Sie kennen die Charakterisierung grobdisperser Systeme, mechanische Trenn- und Zerkleinerungsverfahren, die mechanische Stoffvereinigung sowie die Grundlagen von Wärme- und Stoffübertragungsprozessen und können dieses Wissen bei der Auswahl, Bewertung und Auslegung verfahrenstechnischer Apparate, Anlagen und Prozesse in der Biotechnologie richtig anwenden bzw. übertragen. Dazu gehört auch ein Praktikum in der Bioverfahrenstechnik.

Nein, ein reines Biotechnologie-Fernstudium gibt es derzeit nicht. Denn es ist schwierig, sich alle Studieninhalte alleine zu Hause anzueignen.
