There is a good chance that you will be paid more if you obtain the Federal Diploma of Higher Education as an ICT Platform Development Specialist (formerly ICT Systems Technician and Network Technician). According to a study by ICT-Berufsbildung Schweiz, the salary of ICT specialists with a Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) or Federal Diploma (Advanced Professional Examination) is roughly equivalent to that of ICT specialists with a university degree (ICT Fachkräftesituation Bedarfsprognose 2024).
