The following requirements must be met for admission to the Communication Specialist course:
- Completion of a 3-year vocational education and training (VET) program in the commercial, graphic arts or retail trade sector

Persons with at least three years of professional experience in the fields of PR, communication, marketing, advertising, sales or direct marketing and a Federal VET Diploma, a diploma from an Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE), a College of Higher Education or a University are also eligible for admission.
